12th Hour

Facing the biases that stand between us and our planet’s future.

Much of humanity lives with hopeful delusions about climate change, hampering meaningful action. Our brains evolved to solve short-term survival challenges, while climate change is a long-term threat. 12th Hour confronts these biases and includes insights from evolutionary biologists, climate scientists, cognitive researchers, and psychologists. Visionary thinkers like Peter Russell, Dr. Paul Piff, and Dr. Kari Norgaard explore humanity’s past, abilities, shortcomings, and potential future. This brutally honest documentary challenges viewers to face reality and understand our limitations to address climate change effectively.
